No Need to ship consumed and outdated advice from offshore to the republic
Sadly, in the case of our nation, we are no stranger to this tendency, and so often so many of us try out one of the easiest ways to try to regain lost prestige and get back on the spotlight, by trying to take advantage of our sad reality, which is that we have unfortunately reached blow after blow, strike after strike, and defeat after defeat, by trying to declare that our nation made so many mistakes, and it is time we take right paths, therefore, “Wise experienced ones”, make loud statements of “wisdom, patriotism, calls for unity, solidarity, unselfishness…,” the list goes on and on
What I say is already a wide spread known fact, We describe ourselves as a nation who likes to criticize a lot, yet so often the ones who criticize do nothing, we just make loud pleads and calls for a “reformed path, orthodox correct path” and so on
Lately I have heard yet another gesture, a loud speech which tries to give the impression of producing a “courageous passionate intense cry from the conscious”, in the style and the sound tone, it looks like the one releasing it believes he just broke taboos and made a revolutionary new idea, suggested something new, one that awakes the nation, in an outburst of declaring a new age of ideas
This in style, which might make anyone from the new generation think he is witnessing the launch and release of a new ideas, but whoever who’s age has passed the third decade can easily realize what we just heard is nothing like new ideas, in fact these ideas have been heard since even the last part of the 20th century
But these ideas are consumed, outdated, they belong to a school of strategy, a failed strategy, and as failure and success are measured by results, we all know these strategies and concepts have caused nothing but catastrophe for the nation, a strategy who’s cornerstone is depending and relying on a foreign force, a force who on occasion after occasion, turned out to be a disappointment, a deception, on a non-existent illusion ally who did not justify the hopes political naïve placed upon, who failed us on every merit, sold us out, used us as bargain, exploited, tricked, deceived, took advantage of, did not abide by and respect its commitments
Those who are still deluded by this misconceptions, they have the right to be deluded, everyone has the right to be deluded, but when it turns to political naivety, vanity, it becomes arrogance, stubbornness and hurtful
One might delude himself, but when he tries to pass his delusion upon others, and ship this delusion to the republic, now that is an act worthy of harsh criticism, condemnation and tough response
What makes things worse is the act of absence of resilience to discuss, publicly, such a matter, on basis of “Knowing all”, and the declaration that those who point out the fact that the made faulty ideas are outdated, consumed, old and proved dysfunctional, be subjected to attacks on personal level, slander, accusations, the refusal to debate publicly to determine and settle, attempts to abolish, outcast, rebuke, the stubborn reluctance shown on every call for a public discussion and debate, which turns into absolute refusal to further discuss the case when met with insisting, trying to drag the invitation to a quarrel which seems an excuse to avoid
