Doctor Mustafa Allouch the bold daring sincere spontaneous politician - الدكتور مصطفى علوش السياسي الجريء الصادق والعفوي
Mustapha Alloush
Dr. Mustapha Aloush, first of all, Allow me to state out that you are the most spontaneous politician I ever met in Lebanon, My Boss Emile Ellieh used to take me with to Sawt Lobnen where his brother conducted the Radio show 'Hiwar Online", you looked at me and started talking like we knew each other for quite a while, my impression was that : "this gentleman talks with sincerity, spontaneously and his intensity is an indication of these qualities"
In Armenia I met with a politician who also gave me the same impression, his name is Varoujan Avedissian, when he talked he reminded me of you
I always stated over social media that Dr. Mustapha Alloush is the most spontaneous politician I ever met
-Question 1
How do you evaluate the Lebanese election, from what I know you are part of what is known as "future movement veterans" how do you assess and evaluate the performance of this category, it's level of moral, political and electoral success, do you think that if you had the support of the experienced electoral machine of the Future movement, the campaign would have been much more effective and you would have achieved better results
Answer 1
The last elections were full of high expectations with regards to the change that it will bring concerning the revolutionary group but the results came very realistic proving that the classical political forces in Lebanon are still solid and effective and it is too early to talk about a major game play
Concerning the electoral district I ran in I was expecting from realistic observation that money will be the major player with very little political effect and sometimes it looked to be counter political
When I ran for these elections I was trying no to surrender to the political void future movement has created by withdrawing from the political life and thought that being so active and known in the media and having a long history of humanitarian activities in the community as a surgeon and as NGO active supporter that this will overcome the money factor
In the end the only two who won in my list were those who spent the most
Unfortunately those who won the elections in north Lebanon were not the best example for at the political and moral levels
Had future movement being more sincere and active the results would have surely been better
Question 2
-Future movement by not participating in the elections, he left a huge void inside the respectful Sunni religion, do you fear that this gap will be filled by either politicians from 8 March, or maybe more radical groups
Answer 2
The retreat of future movement from the political scene have created a major void in politics in Lebanon but this will not be filled by any radical group but unfortunately the gap was filled by more disunity and mediocrity which in the end is beneficial for march 8
Question 3
-Are there efforts by the old member of the future movement to try to persuade Cheikh RAffik Harriri to get back to active involvement inside the Lebanese political arena?
Answer 3
Saad hariri made his decision on his own for reasons he did not completely declare though he said a few
All efforts failed to convince him and I think now it is too late to do anything with this regard unless a major change in the regional game ply happens allowing him to come back supported by some international plan
Question 4
-your former allies of the Cedar Revolution, the Lebanese Forces (and the kata2eb to some extent) inside the Christian arena, and the Progressive Socialist movement where the winners inside their environment, do you suppose their victory will motivate the future movement to return to the Lebanese political scene
Answer 4
The success of the former march 14 parties in the last elections will have no effect on the future movement mood except for some bitterness from the old allies
The relationship between the future veterans and the Lebanese forces is essentially absent except for some anecdotal events and I don’t expect these relations to improve in the near future
Question 5
-There are two new major players in the Lebanese parliament, the forces of civil society revolution who describe themselves as "forces of change" and the independent figures, how would you describe the relations between "Kudama Al mustaqbal (Future movement veterans)" and these new players
Answer 5
I don’t see any real possibility for future cooperation except for some individuals and on specific subjects because neither the new group nor the veterans have shown any tangible strategy at all levels
Question 6
-I am a Lebanese who now lives in expatriate, yes I am a Lebanese Armenian who is now in Armenia which is as much as my fatherland as Lebanon, but In my emotion and heart I consider both Lebanon and Armenia my homelands, I miss Lebanon like crazy, Lebanon is wounded, it is on the verge of total collapse, me and a lot of Lebanese in Armenia would love to help, do you have a message for us, a message of hope?
Answer 6
Unfortunately for the moment solutions are not at hand and it’s unlikely things will change very soon unless a major change in the international and regional situation occurs resulting in some comprehensive non classical solutions
In the meantime Lebanese who are still in Lebanon will need a continuous support from their fellow expatriates
Thank you Dr. Mustapha Alloush
